Police transfers a gross violation of election laws - PAFFREL

The PAFFREL organization has requested the Commissioner of Elections, Mahinda Deshapriya to intervene immediately in Police transfers within areas where elections are being held as it is in violation of election laws.

In a letter addressed to the Elections Commissioner, PAFFREL expressed their concern for voter confidence in those areas amidst police personnel transfers stating that it was a “gross violation of election laws to transfer police officers working in the area where the elections are held”.
