Three suspected robbers arrested in Negombo

Three persons suspected to have organized a string of robberies were arrested in Negombo today (July 27). The suspects were apprehended by the Negombo Criminal Investigation Unit while a motorbike used for the robberies was also seized.

 

The police allege that the three suspects were involved in pickpocketing and the robbery of several gold items.

 

A stock of stolen gold items and a stack of money was also recovered by the police.
