The Water Board announced that there will be a water cut in several areas including Rukmalgama, Mattegoda, Pelenwatta, Kesbewa, Piliyandala-Boralesgamuwa main road and sub roads due to a damaged pipeline.

A main pipeline near the Kottawa town has reportedly been damaged. The National Water Supply & Drainage Board says the pipeline is currently being repaired and that the water supply will return to normal as soon as repairs are completed.
