Ten ‘Grease Yakas’ arrested by police

Ten suspects identified as ‘Grease Yakas’ were arrested by Police in the Ragala and Badulla areas after being tipped off by the surrounding villagers while an investigation is being carried out by the Special Task Force to apprehend another group of suspects in Hatton.

 

The Ragala police arrested four suspects who were harassing the villagers of the area after receiving a phone tip informing them of the suspects while six suspects were apprehended in the Uduwara area in Badulla after the suspects were handed over to the police by residents.
