State revenue increases by 19%

The state revenue for the first five months of 2011 has increased by 19.08% in comparison to last year due to the increase in imports, acting Finance Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya stated.
He said that as a result to reducing taxes on vehicles there was an increase in vehicle imports while government revenue has increased as a result.
