No Lankan migrant workers in Libya - SLBFE

There are no Sri Lankan migrant workers currently in war-torn Libya, where fighting have escalated, according to the Bureau of Foreign Employment.

It said that several migrant workers had returned to Sri Lanka in the initial stages of the clashes in the Middle Eastern country.

The Bureau stated that so far their have been no reports of any Sri Lankan migrants being caught in the fierce clashes.

Meanwhile foreign media reported that intense fighting has broken out in Tripoli between rebels and forces loyal to the Libyan leader.
