28 involved in Haputale dual murder

Police said that around 28 persons have been identified as being involved in the brutal killing of two individuals at the Thotalagala estate in Haputale over an alleged ‘grease devil’ incident.

Five (05) of the suspects involved in the murders have been arrested and were remanded till September 8 after presented to court.

Two individuals, smalltime businessmen and residents of Kumbalwela, Ella were hacked to death by a violent mob.

Eyewitnesses had informed the police that they were attacked under suspicion of being “grease devils”.
