Lankan woman held for manufacturing, trading liquor

Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, securitymen from the Farwaniya governorate in Kuwait City raided an apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and arrested a Sri Lankan woman for manufacturing and trading in alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman is believed to be in her 50s. Police have also taken into custody two men for helping the bootlegger to sell the booze.
Police are said to have confiscated the manufacturing equipment, 25 bottles of liqour ready for sale and referred the trio to the authorities, the Arab Times reported.
