Three cement containers released from the harbour

The National Co-operatives Board (NCB) stated that it had received permission from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) to release three cement containers from the harbour today (September 7).

 

The NCB Chairman, Bandu Ranawaka stated that the containers will be released and transported to the warehouses by 3 p.m. today while he also stated that the cement will not be released to the market until it receives the necessary quality standardization.

 

He added that he expects the cement will get the necessary quality assurance by tomorrow while the cement will then be released to the market within the next few days.
