UNP Candidate in Matale assaulted along with supporter

A Matale Municipal Council candidate for the UNP was assaulted along with one of her supporters by an unidentified group while she was attending to campaign promotions in Matale.

 

Both victims were taken to the Matale District Hospital while a complaint was made to the Matale Police headquarters, the leader of the UNP candidate group, D. Aluvihare stated.
