Indian with foreign currency strapped to body arrested at BIA

An Indian national was arrested today at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) attempting to smuggle foreign currency worth over Rs. 10 million, Senior Superintendent of customs, Parakrama Basnayake told Ada Derana.

 

 

The Indian bound for Singapore had attempted to board the flight UL 312 from Colombo with the foreign currency strapped to his body, Basnayake added. He stated that further investigations are underway.
