No decrease in the misuse of state property - PAFFREL

There has been no decrease in the illegal use of state property for propaganda work by candidates ahead of the upcoming local government election, the PAFFREL organization stated.

 

Executive Director of PAFFREL, Rohana Hettiarachchi told Ada Derana that there had been an increase in the number of complaints that have been received regarding the misuse of state property while revealing that around 14 complaints had already been made.

 

He stated that 58 incidents regarding the elections had been recorded by PAFFREL including 7 assaults and 6 cases of people receiving threats all of which have been reported in the Kolonnawa area.

 

He added that unlawful propaganda is also continuing concerning the elections.
