VIDEO: Truck falls off bridge, one killed

One person was killed and another severely wounded after a tipper truck lost control and drove off a bridge in Aluth Oya, Kantale. The deceased, a 19-year-old driver’s helper, was traveling in the truck along with the driver at the time of the accident.  


The driver of the truck has been admitted to the Kantale Hospital with injuries following the incident which had reportedly occurred at around 8.30am today (Sep. 30) morning.


The body of the deceased, a resident of Sinhapura, Welikanda, has been placed at the Habarana Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination, police reported.
