Postal trade union coalition has decided to end the postal strike after discussions held today (21) morning with the Minister of Postal Services Jeewan Kumaratunga.
The trade union action was launched by postal workers on November 13 based on several demands including immediate the removal of the Postmaster general.
It was reported yesterday that around 1,600,000 letters and registered mail had piled up at the Colombo Central Postal Exchange as a result of the trade union action.
