Maldives President to attend army passing out parade

President of Maldives Mohamed Nasheed is scheduled to arrive in the island tomorrow to participate as the chief guest of an Army passing out parade, the External Affairs Ministry said.

President Nasheed is expected to attend the ceremonial passing out parade (PoP) of Officer Cadets who have successfully completed their training at Diyatalawa Sri Lanka Military Academy. The ceremony is to be held on Tuesday (Dec. 27).

The Maldivian President is also slated to meet and hold discussion with several Ministers during his tour.
