Mahela to be made captain, Selection Committee to be replaced?

Mahela Jayawardena is to be made the Sri Lanka Cricket captain for the upcoming Australia tour, Sources close to SLC told Ada Derana. It is also reported that the Sri Lanka Cricket(SLC) Selection Committee is to be replaced prior to the tour.
Jayawardena who captained the Sri Lankan side from 2006-2009 will be reinstated after a series of embarrassing losses the national team suffered in the recent past.
Meanwhile The Sri government has ordered a probe into the national cricket team’s “crisis situation” after they fell to another defeat in their one-day series in South Africa, an official said on Wednesday.
Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage asked the country’s cricket governing body to investigate and recommend remedial action to end the side’s recent poor performances
South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by four runs on Tuesday to take a winning 3-0 lead in their five-match ODI series.
Sri Lanka’s next assignment after the South African tour is a visit to Australia for a ODI tri-series against the hosts and India scheduled to kick off on February 12.
