Tangalle murder suspects further remanded

The Tangalle Magistrate’s Court today extended the remand period of the five suspects, including the Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha chairman, arrested in connection to the murder of a tourist at a resort in Tangalle on Christmas Eve.

Magistrate Yuresha de Silva declined a bail plea by Sampath Chandrapushpa, Chairman of the Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha, seeking to attend Pradeshiya Sabha sessions and further remanded the suspects till February 03.
