
Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister, W.D.J. Seneviratne says that close to Rs. 21,000 million has been spent for the Deyata Kirula exhibition and the coinciding development activities in the Anuradhapura area.
Infrastructure development in the Anuradhapura District is accelerating due to the Deyata Kirula exhibition and fair, he said at a press conference today (Jan 27).
The Minister detailed that Rs. 17, 156 million as the total expenditure since 2011, Rs.1,000 million for the construction of 100 computer labs in schools, Rs.830 million for water supply projects and Rs.3,800 million was spent on developing art theatres and the Wilpattu National Park, reconstruction of religious centers in rural areas, establishing of Provincial Council building and training centers.
Meanwhile hoisting the national flag on Independence Day has been made mandatory at state institutions. The Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs says that steps have been taken to issue the relevant circular.
