62-year-old man killed in hit-and-run incident

One person was killed as a result of an accident involving a three-wheeler and a car in Prithipura, Wattala. The passenger of the three-wheeler, a 62-year-old man from Welisara, was critically wounded in the collision and was rushed to hospital.
However, he had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Ragama Hospital.
The driver of the car had fled the scene soon after the accident, police said adding that investigations are being carried out by the Wattala Police.
