Southern Province SLTB bus operators on strike

The Southern Province Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB) busses have commenced a strike, a Matara depot spokesman told Ada Derana. He added that the decision to strike was taken over demands not yet met.

 

He added that currently all SLTB busses in the Southern Province have joined the strike and will not operate.

 

When contacted by Ada Derana the chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board Sashi Welgama stated that attention is being given to the demands of the workers.
