Four suspects arrested in possession of forged notes

Four persons were arrested by the police in the Demanhandiya area in Negombo for possessing 60 forged Rs.1000 notes while machinery used to forge the notes was also found with the suspects, police stated.

 

A unit of the Negombo police had conducted the raid while police reported that the suspects were residents of Kurunegala, Negombo, Kochchikade and Katana.

 

The four arrested suspects will be presented to the Negombo Magistrate today (May 17).
