Police headquarters announced a special traffic plan which will be operative in Colombo tomorrow (May 15) in view of the Victory Day Parade, organized to commemorate the victory achieved with the elimination of LTTE terrorism, to be held at Galle Face Green.
The following roads will be closed from 5am until the event concludes tomorrow:
Galle Road – Galle Road, Bagathale Road junction to Galle Face Junction.
Marine Drive – Kollupitiya Glen Aber Place to Kollupitiya Railway Station Junction.
Dharmapala Mawatha – Kollupitiya Junction to Liberty roundabout.
Sri Uttarananda Mawatha – Nawam Mawatha Junction to Maken Maker Mawatha junction.
Slave Island - Justice Akbar Mawatha, Malay Street Junction to Maken Maker Mawatha Junction.
Fort area – Lotus Road, York Street Junction to Galadari roundabout.
York Street, to Janadipathi Mawatha and Duke Street, Lower Chatham Street Junction to Sir Baron Jayathilake Mawatha.
