The Federation of University Teachers’ Association says that it will launch an indefinite trade union action starting July 4 against the salary issue which has not been resolved by the authorities.

FUTA Chairman Prof. Nirmal Ranjith Devsiri said today that they were left with no other choice but to resort to trade union due to the non-compliance of the authorities. He also added that they fully supported the trade union action currently being carried out by the University non-academic staff.
