The University Grants Commission (UGC) today informed the Supreme Court that university admissions will not be finalized until the solution to the A/L examination z-score issue is provided.

A Fundamental Rights petition filed by a group of 33 students was taken up before a three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake.

Attorney representing the respondents stated that solution procedures for the z-score issue are currently being prepared.

The petition was postponed to August 30.
