Sri Lanka Cricket together with the International Cricket Council (ICC) is investigating alleged corruption in Sri Lanka, which centres around a taped conversation, SLC has said.

It is said that a recording of a telephone conversation, allegedly regarding corruption in the country, had been given recently provided to a local newspaper and the ICC.

SLC had passed the tape on to the ICC’s Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), currently in the country for the SLPL before officially informing the international governing body of cricket regarding the matter.

However, presently the International Cricket Council has briefed Sri Lanka Cricket and further action will be taken regarding the issue in accordance, SLC said.
