VIDEO: President inspects Colombo-Katunayake expressway

President Mahinda Rajapaksa engaged in an inspection of the Colombo-Katunayaka Expressway this morning (August 16), the President’s Media Unit stated.

 

The road will be complete with four lanes heading towards Katunayake and will stretch 25km.

 

Five flyovers will be constructed at points in Kelaniya, Peliyagoda, Ja-Ela, Kerawalapitiya and Katunayaka while a sum of US $292 million will be spent on the road’s construction.

 

The construction began on 2009 and is due for completion in 2012.
