Two including Buddhist monk arrested with ganja

A Buddhist monk and another person have been arrested for transporting marijuana. The suspects were arrested after Rajanganaya Police searched the motorcycle they traveling on.

Over one kilogram of ganja was found in the Buddhist monks possession while another 500 grams were found with the other suspect, police said.

The monk in question had been residing in a Temple in Yaya-18, Rajanganaya.

The suspects are to be produced at the Thambuththegama Magistrate’s Court today (31).
