Kuliyapitiya PS Chairman arrested

The Chairman of the Kuliyapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested over an attack on two houses in the Wewagamage area in Ratmalewatta.

The Chairman who is a suspect in the incident had handed himself over to police today afternoon, police said.

Another six suspects allegedly involved in the incident have reportedly surrendered to police.

The Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman and the six other persons were later placed under arrest by police. They are scheduled to be produced before the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
