70-year-old stabbed, killed by son-in-law

A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his father-in-law to death, following a heated argument, using a sharp object in the Lower Bogala area in Bulathkohupitiya.

The suspect’s wife had reportedly traveled to her parents’ residence due to a falling out between them, and an argument had later taken place there which led to the murder, police said.

The victim is said to be a 70-year-old resident of Bulathkohupitiya.

The arrested suspect is to be produced before the Ruwanwella Magistrate’s Court today (15).
