SC allows FR case against SSP Ampara

The Supreme Court today granted leave to proceed with the Fundamental Rights case filed by SLMC against SSP Premalal Ranagala, the Ada Derana reporter confirmed.


A recent clash during the Provincial Council elections between the SLMC and MNC resulted in SLMC Leader Rauf Hakeem accusing MNC Leader, Minister A. L. M. Athaullah and the police of conspiring against his party.


Hakeem charged that Athaullah and the SSP of Ampara Premalal Ranagala were behind the clash that took place between SLMC supporters and MNC members in Addalaichenai, Ampara.
