Newspapers are being sold these days thanks to me and my son - Mervin

The Public Relations and Public Affairs Minister Mervyn Silva mentioned that newspapers are being sold these days thanks to him and his son.

The minister also stated that the insults thrown at him continuously by ‘kala patthara’ and petty gossip sites does not scare him and asked what is wrong in attacking someone if his son has not impregnated women or misbehaved.

The minister also explained that it is natural for young men to be aggressive and that it is not something that needs to be taken very seriously.

The minister made these statements yesterday (18) when he gave a donation of Rs. 50 000 to the Sri Sambodirama Viharaya in Kerawalapitiya under the program of developing religious places.

The minister also mentioned that Minister Sajith Premadasa donates Rs. 50 000 to religious places once every week and tells about it to the media that entire week, whereas he gives Rs. 50 000 to multiple religious places daily but there is no one to tell that to.

He also mentioned that he is getting ready for the comforts of the afterlife and that he has already completed the requirements to go there and that when he or his son cracks the skull of another person, it will not interfere with his progress.

The minister further stated that after the Rajapakse generation, he is the next person to have served the country most and told that he will be taking the most votes from the Gampaha district in the next election.
