The body of an infant has been found among trash dumped near a residence in the Redeemaliyadda area in Mahiyanganaya.
The newborn baby’s body was found by men, carrying out repairs in the house, who looked into a putrid smell emanating from the location.
Mahiyangana Police were informed of the discovery and an investigation has been launched.
