Central committee member of the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP), Dimuthu Attygalle claims she came under waste-oil attack in Jaffna today.

She stated that she was getting into a vehicle near the Nallur Kovil in Jaffna, to return after participating in several events organized for World Children’s Day, when two persons on a motorbike threw waste-oil on her and several others before fleeing.

The political activist and JVP dissident said she suspects the attack was government sanctioned and that she sensed she was being watched closely, ever since setting foot in Jaffna.

Currently officers of Jaffna Police have arrived at the scene and are carrying out inspections, she added.
