The Terrorist Investigation Department (TID) has arrested the coordinating secretary to TNA MP S. Sridaran with 500 grams of explosives and a large quantity of pornographic CDs in Killinochchi.

The items were reportedly recovered at the Tamil National Alliance’s Killinochchi office according to information uncovered following the interrogation of a suspect.

However, MP Sridaran claims that it was a planned attempt to disrepute him and the party.

He stated that a party member was arrested in Thirunagar yesterday (11) and based on alleged information uncovered from his interrogation security personnel had searched the party office.

Around 25 officers had arrived in four vehicles and said they discovered explosives and pornography CDs, however did not mention where in the office they were found, the MP said.
