UPDATE: 25% reduction of fuel surcharge for those using 61-180 units

The electricity tariff has been revised so that those using between 61 to 180 units will receive a 25% reduction of the fuel surcharge, the Ministry of Power and Energy stated.

Those using less than 60 units will not be subject to any tariff increase as the President assured the public yesterday at the UPFA May Day rally.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) relief for users of 61-66 units, tariff will be same as for 60 units. 91-96 units will be charged for 90 units while 121-126 units will be charged for 120 units.
