CID record statements regarding Matale mass grave

Statements were
recorded from seven relatives of the deceased who put forward their affidavit regarding
the Matale mass grave site. CID officers had taken their statements at the
Matale police station.
Thirteen persons who
believed that their deceased relatives may be among the bodies found at the
mass grave handed over their affidavit to the Matale Magistrate who ordered
their statements to be taken.
The Magistrate had
directed the CID to take their statements in the Matale area.
