Stabbed body of Easwara Kovil chief priest found in Kataragama

The body of the Chief priest of the Easwara Kovil in the Walli Guhawa temple was found bearing stab wounds in a forest area in Kataragama this morning (June 5), police stated.

The victim was 70-year-old Rajapaksha Mudiyansalage Premadasa and the office of the Police Media Spokesman stated that he had been stabbed with a sharp object.

His son had identified the body in the forest and had informed police.

The Kataragama police are conducting further inquiries.
