The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) has decided not contest the upcoming elections for Central, North Western and Northern Provincial Councils.

Explaining the reason for the decision the propaganda secretary to FSP Pubudu Jagoda said, the party believes there are several more important matters than election activities that deserve priority.

Elections are a ground always favorable to the country’s rulers as it is they who prepare the pitch, it is they who decide on the rules and they call us out to the field at a time more favorable to them, he said, in a release today.
