Appropriation Bill presented to parliament

The government Appropriation Bill for 2014 was presented to parliament a short while ago.

As Minister of Finance, President Mahinda Rajapaksa will deliver the budget speech on November 21. The budget debate on the second reading will begin on November 23 and continue for a week while the vote will be taken on November 29.

The executive committee debate will begin on December 2 and will last 16 days while the third reading and vote will be taken on December 20.
