SLCERT receives 1,100 complaints so far

Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) says it has received around 1,100 internet related complaints so far this year while a majority of them concern the social networking site Facebook.

These include complaints regarding fake Facebook accounts and also accounts being hacked, Roshan Chandraguptha, a spokesman for SLCERT said.

He stated that necessary measures have been taken to suspend the false Facebook accounts, according to the complaints received.

 Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team also says it has received very few complaints this year pertaining to websites being hacked.
