VIDEO: 20 injured after bus falls into precipice

December 1, 2013   12:16 pm

At least 20 passengers were wounded and hospitalized after a privet bus traveling from Mariarawa to Monaragala fell into a precipice in Meegahapitiya this morning.

The police spokesman’s office stated that the injured persons have been admitted to the Dabagalla Hospital for treatment.

Police believe that wet and slippery road, due to the inclement weather condition prevailing in the area, had caused the bus driver to lose control resulting in the crash.

Dabagalla Police are conducting further investigations.
