The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) today recovered 257,658 packets of 400g milk powder worth around Rs 80 million from a private warehouse in Seeduwa.

The latest discovery comes just a day after the CAA found 13.5 tonnes of hidden milk powder stocks at a prominent milk powder factory in Welisara.

The milk powder stocks were hidden away instead of being released into the market, Gampaha District CAA chief Ranjith Weerawardena told Ada Derana.

The authorities also found 540 milk powder (25g) boxes during the raid yesterday.
