Bope Poddala PS budget defeated by one vote

The budget of the UPFA controlled Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha has been defeated as well with five votes been cast for the budget and six against.

 

The budget was presented to the Pradeshiya Sabha by its Chairman G.C.S. Chanaka Madugoda while it was defeated by one vote.

 

The Bope Poddala PS consists of seven UPFA members, three UNP members and one JVP member.

 

When the secret ballot for the budget was held today (December 10), two UPFA PS members had cast their votes against the budget along with the opposition members.
