Cost of Living Allowance revised

The cost of living allowance for employees of government corporations, statutory boards and project staff has been increased up to Rs 7,800 per month with effect from January 01, the Ministry of Finance and Planning said today.

The Management Services  Circular No. 01/2014 with the Revision of the Cost of Living Allowance as per the Budget proposal 2014 was issued today.

Accordingly, employees of all Government Corporations, Statutory Boards, Fully Owned Government Companies and the projects covered by the Management Services Circular No. 33 are entitled to this allowance, the ministry said.

Monthly Cost of Living Allowance currently paid to the employees who are eligible and entitled to the said allowance shall be Rs 7,800 with effect from January 01, 2014.
