President Mahinda Rajapaksha today advised authorities to release all Indian fishermen currently in Sri Lankan custody. the President’s media unit said.
This was seen as a goodwill gesture for India’s abstention on the UN Human Rights Commission vote on the resolution promoting reconciliation, accountability, and human rights in Sri Lanka.
