Reconciliation cannot be achieved overnight, Sri Lanka Military spokesman Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasuriya said today. He said this in reply to theUS Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal.

Biswal today claimed that the US is looking forward to a resumption of a more comprehensive military relationship once the Government of Sri Lanka has made better progress toward reconciliation and accountability.

However Wanigasuriya stated that it was doubtful that the US was aware of all the reconstruction that has taken place since the end of the war.
