Malimbada PS member remanded over assault incident

Malimbada Pradeshiya Sabha member, Wasantha Munasinghe, who was arrested on charges of assaulting a businessman and his wife, has been remanded until September 03 by the Matara Magistrate’s Court.
Akuressa Police arrested four individuals including the PS member over the incident which had taken place on the night of August 19 in the Telijjawila area.
The suspects were produced before the Matara Court today and remanded till September 3.
