Dr. Nimal Gamage enlarged on bail

Dr. Nimal Gamage who was in remand custody following the death of a female doctor at his cosmetic clinic was enlarged on bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, a short while ago.
On August 12, a 47-year old lady doctor died following an injection given at the well-known cosmetic surgery clinic located at Visaka road, Colombo 4. The deceased, P.A. Priyangi (47), was an attached doctor to the Plastic Surgery Unit of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital.
LAter, expired drugs and cosmetics were found, during a search carried out at the cosmetic surgery clinic. The search was carried out in a joint operation by the Colombo Crime Division (CCD), the Cosmetic Devices and Drug Regulatory Authority (CDDRA) and the Government Analyst’s Department.
