UNP and UPFA supporters clash in Badulla, two injured

Two people were injured following a clash between supporters of the United National Party (UNP) and the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) in Soronathota area in Badulla, this morning.

Ada Derana reporter said that the clash has taken place at around 8.00 a.m. and the wounded persons were rushed to the Badulla General hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The Badulla police are investigating on the incident. No arrests have been made, so far.

Some 424 election related complaints have been reported with regard to Uva Provincial Council election, according to Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE). 

Some 305 complaints have been reported from Moneragala district and 100 from Badulla. There were 19 complaints common to both districts.
