Child dies after falling from 22nd floor of apartment complex

A four-year-old girl has died after falling off the 22nd floor of the Havelock City Apartment Complex in Wellawatta, police said.

The child was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital following the fall last evening, however was pronounced dead on admittance.

The child’s family are residents of the Havelock City Apartment Complex.

The body has been placed at the mortuary of the Kalubowila Hospital while Wellawatta Police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
